The Office is currently seeking an IT Training and Modern Work Specialist in the IT division of the Office.
A successful candidate in this position will be able to:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs covering a variety of IT systems and tools (including Windows, M365 applications, Teams Phone, Teams Rooms, PowerApps, and more), offering practical hands-on instruction tailored to non-technical users in legal and government settings.
- Create hybrid and asynchronous learning experiences that accommodate diverse schedules, learning styles, and accessibility needs.
- Provide one-on-one and group coaching to reinforce digital fluency, build confidence, and support the adoption of new tools and workflows.
- Design and maintain user-friendly training materials, such as quick-start guides, videos, SOPs, and FAQs, using tools like Camtasia, Scribe, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Stream.
- Build and manage a centralized training resource library, ensuring materials remain current as technologies and user needs evolve.
- Lead IT onboarding for new hires, including training on essential systems, tools, and modern work practices.
- Champion collaborative and productivity-enhancing technologies across departments to promote efficient, modern work habits.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, HR, Training and Development and leadership to align training strategies with organizational goals and address workflow challenges through Microsoft 365-based solutions.
- Assist in the design and rollout of Power Platform solutions (e.g., Power Automate, Forms, Teams integrations) that streamline business processes.
- Continuously collect user feedback and assess training effectiveness to drive improvement and ensure accessibility and impact.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and workplace tools, pilot and test new features, and provide implementation recommendations based on user needs and organizational priorities.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment (combination of in-office work and telework).
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Experience designing and delivering structured IT training programs for diverse audiences
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, Power Automate, and PowerApps
- Demonstrated ability to create user-friendly instructional materials, such as guides, video tutorials, and digital resource libraries
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach non-technical users and collaborate with stakeholders
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, user adoption strategies, and inclusive instructional design practices

Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in information technology, education, instructional design, communications, or a closely related field (equivalent experience may substitute for a degree).
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Office Specialist, Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), CompTIA CTT+, or Microsoft 365 certifications (e.g., Teams Administrator, Power Platform, or related).
- Four or more years of experience in IT training, user support, instructional content development, or digital enablement, preferably in a professional, legal, or public sector environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver effective technology training to diverse audiences, develop accessible learning materials, and support the adoption of collaboration and automation tools.
